Attached to a serial cable, the serial connector is used to connect a computer to peripheral hardware, to for example, port information (code) to a machine, robot, etc., on bit at a time, hence the name -- serial.
Hmm, did notice that, but had to pitch my best out there anyway. Could definitely be a loop-back of some sort. Don't think i ever see one like this before though.

@bigeclipse look again you can connect anything to it. its probably a loopback of some sort.
